The International Cricket Council has been forced to reconsider its position as a delegation of the global cricket body is expected to arrive in Pakistan within the next few hours to hold talks with Pakistani officials.
The ICC delegation, led by the deputy chairman, will reach Lahore, where an urgent meeting will take place. Discussions will focus on the situation that emerged after Pakistan announced a boycott of the match against India.
Bangladesh Cricket Board president Aminul Islam has also arrived in Pakistan. He will attend meeting with the Pakistan Cricket Board and the ICC. The Pakistan-India World Cup match is scheduled for February 15. The Pakistan government has already announced a boycott of the fixture.
