Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced an extension to the timings of Basant celebrations in Lahore.
The Punjab government has extended the duration of Basant festivities until 5am on Monday morning. In a message shared on her social media account, the chief minister said that, in view of the vibrant celebrations, unity and public enthusiasm witnessed during Basant in Lahore, the government had decided to extend the festival timings until 5am.
She has termed the decision as a reward for the people of Lahore, who celebrated Basant with discipline and demonstrated responsible compliance with all safety standard operating procedures.

CM Maryam has urged citizens to continue celebrations in a safe manner, remain clear of electricity wires, secure their rooftops, and follow all official instructions. She said the aim was to make this historic Basant a pleasant, safe and memorable occasion for everyone.
