The Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum has opened the ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ exhibition.
Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal inaugurated the exhibition with his Uzbek counterpart. The exhibition will play an important role in promoting trade and industrial cooperation, said Jam Kamal.
The commerce minister toured various stalls and praised the quality of Uzbek products. Such exhibitions create business-to-business links and open up investment opportunities, Jam Kamal added.
Preferential trade agreements and the business council will increase bilateral trade, he said. Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer highlighted possibilities for cooperation in agriculture and food processing.
Special Assistant on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar called industrial partnership and investment important. The exhibition was termed as an effective platform to introduce Uzbek handicrafts and products to the Pakistani market.
