The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly unanimously passed a resolution condemning JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman over his remarks about the martyrs of the Pakistan Army.
The resolution condemned the Rehman's irresponsible statement regarding the martyrs of the Pakistan Army. It stated that the martyrs are national heroes and that every Pakistani has a duty to respect them. The resolution said officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and other security forces had made great sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
IPP leader moves resolution
It added that the sacrifices of the martyrs had ensured Pakistan's defence and strengthened peace. The resolution was moved by Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Muhammad Ali.
All members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly unanimously supported the resolution.
