A resolution to make Gilgit-Baltistan an interim province of Pakistan has been passed unanimously on Thursday.
Resolution seeks GB's representation in NA, Senate
The resolution stated that Gilgit-Baltistan should be granted representation in the National Assembly and Senate after becoming an interim province. It also called for representation in financial institutions.
Centre urged to create GB interim province through amendment
The resolution urged the federal government to create the interim province through a constitutional amendment or an Act of Parliament.
It stated that Gilgit-Baltistan should become part of the constitution of Pakistan through a constitutional amendment.
The resolution added that Gilgit-Baltistan should be made an interim constitutional province without affecting the Kashmir issue.
