US President Donald Trump's approval rating remains below 40%, with Americans expressing broad dissatisfaction over his handling of key issues, including the economy and Iran, according to a new Washington Post-Ipsos poll.
The survey found that many Americans continue to feel the strain of the rising cost of living and remain pessimistic about the administration's stop-and-start negotiations with Iran.
Respondents said they are unconvinced that ongoing diplomatic efforts with Tehran will lead to lower gasoline prices or prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
The poll also showed that Trump received broadly negative assessments across several major policy areas, reflecting continued public concern over inflation, economic conditions and foreign policy.
Economic pressures remain a top concern for many Americans, with respondents saying the cost of living continues to affect their daily lives despite the administration's policy efforts.
