Five terrorists were killed during a joint operation by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in Bannu.
According to the CTD spokesperson, five terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire during a joint operation in Gulbahar Haved area of Bannu. A large police force reached the site after the incident, while a search for fleeing terrorists and a search and clearance operation were started in the area.
The spokesperson said hand grenades and weapons were recovered from the killed terrorists. The identification and profiling process of the deceased terrorists is under way.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and CTD personnel for the successful operation against militants. He appreciated their professional skills and bravery, saying that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the CTD had bravely foiled the militants’ plans.
