Pakistan has decided to attend the first meeting of the Gaza Peace Board, which will be held in Washington under the chairmanship of the United States President.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to attend the meeting. Sources said that PM Shehbaz is likely to travel to Washington to attend the meeting. However, a final decision regarding Pakistan’s representation at the Gaza Peace Board will be taken in the coming days.
The Gaza Peace Board meeting will take place on February 19, and Pakistan has received a formal invitation. The meeting will review the current situation in Gaza, the ceasefire, humanitarian assistance, and matters related to sustainable peace in the region.

Earlier, it was reported that the White House is planning the first leaders meeting for President Donald Trump’s so-called “Board of Peace” in relation to Gaza on February 19, Axios reported on Friday, citing a US official and diplomats from four countries that are on the board.
The plans for the meeting, which would also be a fundraising conference for Gaza reconstruction, are in early stages and could still change, Axios reported.
