Meghan Markle won in a defamation lawsuit brought against her by her half-sister, Samantha Markle. A US District Attorney Judge, Charlene Honeywell, dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning Samantha cannot refile it.
The court documents, obtained by US Media, revealed that Samantha failed to provide evidence supporting her defamation claims.
Judge Honeywell stated that Samantha's allegations merely suggested a disagreement with Meghan's opinions rather than statements of fact.
Meghan's attorney, Michael J Kump, expressed satisfaction with the ruling, stating, "We are pleased with the court’s decision."

Samantha Markle, who shares a father with Meghan, had sought $75,000 in damages for defamation.
This recent ruling follows a previous decision in March 2023, where Samantha was barred from suing Meghan over claims made in Meghan's unauthorized biography, "Finding Freedom," and her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In her lawsuit, Samantha alleged that Meghan defamed her during the interview by stating she "grew up as an only child," despite their childhood closeness. However, the court found no merit in Samantha's claims, thus ending the legal battle between the half-sisters.
