The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has invited applications from local and foreign companies for the multiband spectrum auction.
According to details surfaced on Monday, the auction concerns the allocation of 5G spectrum in the country. Applications have been requested for technology-neutral 5G services in the 700 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 2100 MHz bands.
PTA has also sought applications for the 2300 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 3500 MHz bands.
Successful bidders will be granted licences along with the spectrum. The licences will be issued in accordance with the Information Memorandum available on the PTA and PPRA websites.
