Five Pakistanis were killed after a gas cylinder exploded in the Manfouhah area of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
According to initial reports, all five victims belonged to Mansehra district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Saeed, Abid Hussain, Abdul Rahman, Muhammad Safeer and Muhammad Rustam.
The Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh expressed deep sorrow over the incident. It said embassy officials are in continuous contact with the Saudi police and other relevant authorities.
The embassy said the necessary arrangements for the burial of the deceased in Saudi Arabia, or for the return of their bodies to Pakistan, would be made after the completion of the required legal formalities.
The incident has caused deep grief among the Pakistani community living in Saudi Arabia.
