Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered the early completion of new hospitals across the province.
According to details, she has fixed deadlines for the completion of several health projects, including the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital and the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Institute in Sargodha.
In Lahore, the chief minister has directed that the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital and the Jinnah Cardiology Institute be opened within the current month. The basement and ground floor of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research have been completed. Waiting areas for patients, a mosque, and residential facilities for doctors have also been completed.
Pakistan’s first Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research is set to begin operations later this month. Recruitment of doctors and professional staff at the centre has already started.
CM Maryam has also ordered that construction work at Lady Willingdon Hospital be completed at the earliest. She said that the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research will provide treatment to cancer patients arriving from all parts of Pakistan.
