A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally is being held in Karachi today, with a heavy police presence deployed around Mazar-e-Quaid.
One track of the road leading from Peoples Chowrangi towards Mazar-e-Quaid has been closed, while both tracks of the road coming from Khudadad Colony are also shut. In addition, the road from Guru Mandir to Numaish Signal has been closed. Traffic is being diverted from Guru Mandir towards Soldier Bazaar. The PTI workers are facing difficulties in reaching the Bagh-e-Jinnah ground.
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister is due to return tomorrow. He said the Sindh government should not create unpleasantness on the final day. He added that the rally will take place at the scheduled time and venue, in accordance with the law and in a democratic manner.
