Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from the hospital and is currently recuperating at home following his recent angioplasty procedure.
Contrary to some reports, the angioplasty was not performed on his heart but rather on a clot in his leg, as confirmed by Indian media.
The 81-year-old actor was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai on Friday morning for the procedure and was discharged after successful treatment.
Amitabh's tweet, posted after his operation, has garnered significant attention on social media, with fans expressing their concern and sending him well wishes for a speedy recovery.
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had visited Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for what was described as a routine check-up, after which he left promptly.
Prior to the news of his hospital visit, Amitabh had shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing gratitude. He also shared a video from his recent appearance at an Indian Street Premier League event on his social media platform.
Despite undergoing surgery for his wrist earlier this year, Amitabh Bachchan has remained committed to his work, shooting for upcoming projects and maintaining an active presence in the entertainment industry.
