On Kashmir Solidarity Day, both President Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar have emphasized their unwavering support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and denounced India's actions in the region.
President Alvi highlighted the ongoing struggle of Kashmiris for over seven decades and called India-held Kashmir "one of the most militarized zones in the world". He condemned the use of force against civilians, arbitrary detentions, and the suppression of political parties.
The president urged India to end human rights violations, reverse its actions of August 5, 2019, and allow UN-mandated investigations. He reiterated that seeking a just resolution through self-determination remains a core foreign policy objective for Pakistan.
Prime Minister Kakar echoed similar sentiments, calling India's actions in IHK a "blatant violation" of international law and accusing the country of altering the region's demographics and political landscape. He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to supporting the Kashmiri cause and emphasized the importance of UN Security Council resolutions in achieving a lasting solution.

Both leaders condemned the Indian Supreme Court's recent judgment on IHK's status, viewing it as further denying the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination. They urged India to allow access to international observers and media to investigate human rights violations.
The chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and all three services chiefs felicitated the nation on the occasion. In a statement, the Inter-Services Pubic Relations (ISPR) said Kashmiris are resisting the Indian aggression and inhumane lockdown in the held valley.
The armed forces saluted the determination and struggle of the Kashmiris and paid tribute to them on solidarity day. The ISPR further said that people belonging to different schools of thought will hold rallies and demonstrations on Monday.
A human chain will also be created in Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with Kashmiris, as Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day against Indian occupation and atrocities. The ISPR saluted the determination and struggle of Kashmiris.
