Pakistan’s first female reporter Professor Shahida Kazi has passed away in Karachi on Saturday.
Prof. Kazi, who was also a dedicated educator, had the distinction of mentoring numerous journalists throughout her illustrious career.
In addition to her teaching role, she served as the Chairperson of the Department of Publications at the University of Karachi, contributing significantly to the academic and journalistic spheres.
According to her family, funeral prayers for Professor Shahida Qazi will be held tomorrow at the Zaheer Jama Masjid on Faizan Bismaullah Sunny Side Road in Civil Lines, Karachi. She will be laid to rest at the University of Karachi Cemetery, marking the end of an era in Pakistan’s journalistic and academic history.
