Pakistan's water reservoirs have seen a significant improvement, with usable water storage increasing by 180,000 acre-feet, bringing the total to 26.53 million acre-feet. This boost comes as river inflows also show a notable rise.
Tarbela Dam: Water level reached 1,444.30 feet, with a storage of 902,000 acre-feet.
Mangla Dam: Water level at 1,137 feet, holding 1,235,000 acre-feet.
Chashma Barrage: Inflow at 99,100 cusecs, outflow at 85,000 cusecs.
Chenab River (Head Marala): Inflow at 28,300 cusecs, outflow at 19,100 cusecs.
Kabul River (Nowshera): Inflow and outflow both at 37,000 cusecs.
These developments indicate a positive trend in Pakistan's water resources, enhancing the country's capacity for irrigation and hydropower generation.
