Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Saturday acknowledged the role of the Pakistani media during the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India.
Expressing his thoughts on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, Memon said: "Pakistani media have disseminated information based on trust to the Pakistani people. Pakistani media have given a befitting reply to the enemy's fabricated news." "The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has always been vocal in support of the freedom of expression and the uplifting of democratic values. Freedom of media, democracy, and the voice of the masses are our mission. The Sindh government has taken a number of measures for the rights of journalists," stated Memon.

He said: "The enemy has tried to spread a fake narrative in an India-Pakistan war-like environment. But Pakistani media houses, on the other hand, have conveyed the truth to the masses. Pakistani journalists have done responsible reporting during the war-like situation."
"Pakistani media have highlighted Pakistan's stance at the global level in an effective way," said Memon.
