The five-day multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-25 and the maiden AMAN Dialogue kicked off in Karachi on Friday.
The primary objective of this exercise is to bring maritime nations together to adopt safe and sustainable procedures, share experiences, and collectively address maritime threats.
Over 60 countries navies along with their ships, aircraft, special operation forces, EOD marine teams and observers are participating in the 9th edition of Aman-25 being held in Arabian Sea.
The AMAN Dialogue will bring together Chiefs of Navies, Coast Guards, and Defence Forces to exchange views on shared global and regional maritime issues.
The opening ceremony of the ninth edition of the multinational Aman exercise commenced at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard in Karachi, with Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb emphasizing the importance of global maritime cooperation.
Addressing the ceremony, Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb stated that countries have come together to safeguard the seas, as evolving maritime challenges require collective efforts. “No single country has the strength to tackle these challenges alone,” he remarked.

Commodore Umar Farooq also read out a message from the Chief of Naval Staff, highlighting the Pakistan Navy’s dedication to regional peace and stability.
