Anti-Corruption Director General, Sohail Zafar Chatha, has revealed that unauthorised changes were introduced into the Lahore Master Plan through the misuse of authority and as a result, a formal case has been registered, and investigations are currently underway.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he further pointed out discrepancies in the land documents of Parvez Elahi, stating that they are not genuine.
The Anti-Corruption DG also highlighted inaccuracies in Elahi’s land documents in Kasur. Notably, Kotla Abu Bakar Kalan, situated 50 kilometers away from Lahore’s master plan, was erroneously included in the plan through fraudulent means.
Mr Chatha went on to say that this inclusion resulted in a significant increase in land value, amounting to approximately Rs 10 billion. He expressed hope that the High Court would intervene to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation.
The DG Anti-Corruption also revealed that red warrants for Farah Gogi are in the process, and Interpol is expected to arrest and return her soon. Additionally, Ibrahim Manika, who is currently evading authorities, is being actively pursued, and his arrest is anticipated in the near future.
