Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said on Sunday that Kamoke and Gujranwala would be linked to the motorway.
Addressing a workers’ convention of the Istehkam Pakistan Party in Kamoke, the federal minister said no country could progress unless the army and the people stood united. He said Pakistan’s security was above everything else. Aleem Khan said Allah Almighty had raised the stature of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army across the world.
He said the Army Chief played a key role in recent success, adding that when a general is brave, every soldier is brave. He questioned whether a person who spoke against the Pakistan Army could be loyal to the country. He said soldiers were laying down their lives on the borders for the safety of citizens’ children. He added that India’s head had bowed before the world and that Pakistan stood proud.

Aleem Khan said the respect now accorded to the Pakistani passport was possible only through the grace of Allah. He said those who believed others came to Pakistan seeking aid had now realised that they, too, needed Pakistan. He said Pakistan now spoke on equal terms. Referring to conflict with India, he said Allah granted victory.
The IPP president asked whether this was possible without divine help. He said the enemy had twice as many aircraft during the fighting, yet seven were downed, including four Rafale jets. He said the Rafale manufacturer had stated there was no fault in the aircraft, but that they were not flown properly.
Aleem Khan said Pakistan’s technology was of Chinese origin and that China, Turkiye and Azerbaijan stood with Pakistan. He said after seven enemy aircraft were brought down, fear of Pakistan’s aircraft spread and demand for them increased. He said Iraq was purchasing Pakistani aircraft and added that few would have imagined a time when Pakistan would sell its aircraft to the world.
He said the Lahore–Sialkot Road had been converted into six lanes and would be extended up to Rawalpindi. He said high taxes made it difficult to expand business. He said growth in the private sector would create jobs for the youth. He added that lower taxes would lead to new industries, increased business activity and employment. He urged the Prime Minister to reduce tax rates.
Aleem Khan said a decision had been taken to launch a movement for more provinces, adding that an increase in the number of provinces was the solution to many problems. He said the IPP did not want the names of provinces to be changed. He said all political parties would have to rise above narrow interests.
