The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to auction Multan Sultans for the forthcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the decision to auction Multan Sultans was taken after the successful bidding of the remaining two franchises. The PCB will soon issue an advertisement for the auction of Multan Sultans.
Following the record sale of two franchises in the Pakistan Super League and strong interest from foreign investors, the PCB decided to place Multan Sultans up for auction. The franchise will be sold through an open auction process.
All bidders will be eligible to participate in the auction of Multan Sultans. The same procedure adopted for the other two franchises is likely to be followed. Multan Sultans are expected to appear in PSL Season 11 with new ownership.
It may be recalled that the PCB had earlier announced it would run Multan Sultans itself for Season 11.
