A heavy rain spell in the port city of Karachi brought down the sweltering temperature beating the heatwave in the most populous city of a country that was grappling with the intense heat for a couple of days.
The rain spell occurred in Sarjani, Yusuf Goth and Khuda Ki Basti, Gulshan Iqbal, Kemari, Federal B Area, Gulshan-e-Mimar, New Karachi, Gadap, Gulshan Mimar and North Karachi and other areas. The weather turned pleasant with the rain spell that continued in the afternoon.
Heavy rain in different areas of Old City along with the Shaare-e-Faisal, Clifton, II Chundrigar Road, Hassan Square, Isa Nagri, PIB, and Jail Chowrangi turned the weather pleasant.
Dark clouds engulfed parts of Karachi including Jahangir Road and Pakistan Highway after intense heat. The intensity of heat continues in the middle of the city.
