Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur issued a stern warning on Saturday to those who violate the constitution, asserting that a time will come when they will be hanged.
Addressing a PTI's power show in Swat, Gandapur emphasised the unassailable nature of Imran Khan's ideology and expressed confidence that the current government would crumble upon Khan's call to action.
Gandapur lamented that the country's governance should be rooted in constitutional principles rather than dictated by institutions or individuals.
He decried the imprisonment of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated for over 300 days on what Gandapur described as fabricated charges.
KP CM Gandapur assured the public that those responsible for such actions would be held accountable.
Drawing parallels to historical figures, Gandapur mentioned Zulfiqar Bhutto, whose execution he referenced to underline the gravity of unconstitutional actions.
He reminded the audience that the nation does not belong to any one individual or family and vowed to reclaim the rights of the people.
Highlighting the resilience and determination of PTI supporters, Gandapur urged them to be prepared for a significant struggle to uphold democracy and the rule of law.
He invoked the spirit of the Kashmiri people, who have fought tirelessly for their freedom, as an example of the steadfastness required in their own fight.
'Imran Khan to be freed soon'
On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan claimed that PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan will be released soon.
Addressing a gathering of PTI supporters in Swat, Barrister Gohar expressed deep gratitude to the participants and reiterated Imran Khan's commitment to his ideology, even while in jail.
"Imran Khan has consistently stated that while he forgives personal grievances, he cannot pardon any wrongdoing against the nation," said Barrister Gohar.
Stressing the need for the restoration of the constitution and law in Pakistan, Mr Gohar called for an end to the oppression of the populace.
Meanwhile, former Speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, echoed these sentiments, asserting that Imran Khan’s release is imminent and contingent upon rightful judicial decisions.
He highlighted the ongoing struggle for democracy and the rule of law, stressing the need for peace and education over violence and unrest.
