According to media reports, rumors swirled about a potential changing of the guard, with Hardik Pandya stepping into the spotlight after leading the Mumbai Indians. However, the BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, put those whispers to rest, expressing unwavering confidence in Rohit's leadership.
Speaking at a recent event, Shah did not just announce the captain, he stated, "India will win the T20 World Cup under Rohit Sharma's captaincy."
The T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 1, 2024.
