In a bid to steer Pakistan towards prosperity and stability, Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif extended on Friday an olive branch to political rivals, urging for collective efforts to address the country's challenges.
At the outset of the address, Nawaz lauded the crowd and workers saying ‘I’m seeing a glare of hope in your eyes, a hope to see country prosperous and back on track again. ’
He went on to say that in recent polls PML-N emerged as victorious and outclassed others across the country, adding that now onus on us to pull country out of quagmire.
Respecting the mandate of all political parties, Nawaz Sharif issued a heartfelt invitation to all winning candidates to join hands in healing the nation's wounds. He acknowledged past mistakes, stressing the imperative of unity over confrontation for the sake of Pakistan's progress.
He underscored the recent electoral success of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), emphasizing the responsibility incumbent upon them to lead the country out of its current predicament.
Highlighting the transparent track record of the PML-N in governance and development, Nawaz Sharif underscored the collective responsibility of all institutions, including the Pakistan Army and Judiciary, in realizing the nation's aspirations.
Addressing the need for a collaborative approach, Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation with stakeholders across the political spectrum.
He entrusted key party figures with the task of initiating discussions with leaders from various parties, including Asif Ali Zardari and Fazlur Rehman, to tackle the country's challenges head-on.
Promising a swift relief for the masses, Nawaz Sharif pledged to prioritize the eradication of unemployment and the creation of opportunities. He underscored his commitment to revamping Pakistan's foreign policy, fostering better relations with neighboring countries for regional stability and prosperity.
Asserting the PML-N's position as the single largest party in Punjab and at the federal level, Nawaz Sharif assured the nation of unwavering dedication in serving the people and advancing the country's interests.

PML-N sweeps key constituencies
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emerged victorious in crucial constituencies across the country, securing significant wins for its top brass in the latest electoral showdown.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, a stalwart of the PML-N, reclaimed his home constituency in Lahore, NA 130, amidst a fierce electoral contest.
The unofficial results, encompassing all 376 polling stations, declared Nawaz Sharif triumphant with a commanding 171,024 votes, leaving independent candidate Yasmin Rashid trailing behind with 115,043 votes.
Meanwhile, in another pivotal constituency, NA 119 Lahore 3, the Chief Organizer of PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, etched her name in the annals of political history by securing the National Assembly seat. With an impressive tally of 83,855 votes from 338 polling stations, Maryam Nawaz outpaced her closest contender, independent candidate Shehzad Farooq, who amassed 68,376 votes.
However, not all outcomes favored the PML-N. In a closely watched battle in Lodhran, Jahangir Tareen, the chief of Stability Pakistan Party (IPP), faced defeat in NA-155. Siddique Khan Baloch of the PML-N emerged victorious with 117,671 votes, relegating Tareen to the runner-up position with 71,128 votes from all 369 polling stations.
The momentum continued for the PML-N as Malik Abrar Ahmed clinched NA-55 Rawalpindi with 78,542 votes, securing a comfortable lead over PTI-backed independent candidate Muhammad Basharat Raja, who garnered 67,101 votes from 311 polling stations.
In NA-58 Chakwal, the PML-N maintained its stronghold, with Major (retd) Tahir Iqbal securing victory with 115,974 votes from all 459 polling stations. The PTI-backed independent candidate, K Ayaz Ameer, trailed closely with 102,537 votes.
The Sharif legacy extended further as PML-N President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif secured the National Assembly seat from Lahore in NA 123. With 63,953 votes to his name, Shehbaz Sharif outshone PTI-supported independent candidate Afzal Azim Pahat, who amassed 48,486 votes.
