Pakistan have become the first team in the history of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to use six spinners in a single innings.
In the ICC T20 World Cup group match against India, Pakistan named six spinners in their squad: Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq.
For Pakistan, Saim Ayub claimed three wickets, while Usman Tariq, Shaheen Afridi and Salman Agha took one wicket each. One Indian batsman was run out.
Meanwhile, cricket once again faced embarrassment at the hands of India, as the decorum of the gentleman’s game came under question. After the Asia Cup, the World Cup also witnessed an unsporting moment when Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav declined to shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Agha. Supporters described the conduct of the Indian side as shameful.
