A fresh spell of rain has been forecast in various cities across the country ahead of the start of Ramazan.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), rain is likely in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from tomorrow night, with thundershowers expected to continue until Tuesday.
An official statement said rain is expected in Kurram, Bannu, North Waziristan and South Waziristan. Lakki Marwat, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan are also likely to receive rainfall. Hail is also forecast in Dera Ismail Khan.
Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder in the southern and western parts of the country.
The department said a weather system is likely to enter the western regions on 16 February, bringing rain to several cities. The report added that Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman and Pishin, along with adjoining areas, are expected to receive rain on 16 and 17 February.
On February 17, rain with gusty winds and thunder is forecast in Karachi, Gwadar, Pasni, Hyderabad, Thatta and Sukkur. The public has been advised to take precautionary measures during inclement weather.
