Former Indian cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar said on Sunday that the recent policy of not shaking hands was a foolish measure initiated by India.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Manjrekar has termed it as unbecoming of a nation of India’s stature.
This ‘no shaking hands’ is such a silly thing that India has started. It’s unbecoming of a nation like ours. Either play properly within the spirit of the game or don’t play at all.

He added that players should either compete properly within the spirit of the game or refrain from playing altogether.
