The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson said on Sunday the party rejected the medical examination of Imran Khan without family members and personal doctors present.
The suggestion to conduct the examination inside the jail was an attempt to divert attention from the main issue, the statement said. The spokesperson added that in sensitive medical matters, the right to decide rests with PTI founder Imran Khan's family. The matter did not concern the presence or absence of party leadership.
The statement further said that the family cannot make any decision until the personal doctors are present. There is no justification for inviting the party leadership.
Personal doctors should be given access to Imran Khan, and an immediate meeting should be arranged with his family.
It is reported that the eye examination of PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala jail has been completed. A detailed eye check-up was conducted under the supervision of a medical board.
The medical examination was carried out under strict security arrangements. Sources said the team of doctors has departed from Adiala Jail.
Technicians accompanied the five-member team of doctors.
The doctors will complete their report and submit it to the government.
