Flight operations at Sialkot International Airport remain temporarily suspended due to flooding, according to airport spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan. He said floodwater entered the airport from the southern side, and dewatering operations are underway.
The spokesperson added that, considering the current situation, air operations will remain suspended until 10 p.m. tonight. All officers and staff are engaged in water removal efforts, with dewatering pumps and other resources being fully utilized.
He further stated that all airport equipment is completely safe, while the terminal building, parking areas, and most parts of the runway remain secure. Floodwater is being drained with the help of pumps and heavy machinery.
