The brother-in-law of the suicide bomber, Yasir son of Bahadur Khan, was arrested in Karachi.
The bomber’s brother was taken into custody in Peshawar. A key facilitator was killed in Nowshera. The most significant arrest was that of the suicide bomber’s mother, detained from a house in a posh sector of Islamabad.
Following the terrorist incident in Islamabad, agencies have launched operations across the country.
It is pertinent to note that after the Islamabad tragedy, the security in Punjab was placed on high alert.
The Lahore CCPO has instructed that special security measures be taken at imambargahs, mosques and other religious sites.
