The Iran’s Revolutionary Guards spokesperson has said that Iranian forces have established control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran says US actions will affect interests linked to Hormuz
He said US actions would affect the interests of countries that benefit from the strategic waterway. In a statement, the spokesman said American actions would create serious obstacles in the gradual process of reopening the maritime route.
He said foreign powers had no right or interest in the Strait of Hormuz. He added that Iran would give a decisive response to any US intervention or actions.
The statement said naval traffic passing through the key waterway had reached nearly 50 per cent of its pre-war level, while the movement of ships receiving “permission” from Iran was increasing continuously.
