The Chinese media has claimed that Pakistan has shot down an Indian aircraft and captured the pilot.
The pilot has not been identified as yet.
The CGTN media organisation of China quotes the Pakistani military as saying that after shooting down the Indian plane, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened a meeting of the National Command Authority.

There were reports on social media that a Rafale jet had been shot down, allegedly in Sialkot, and a woman pilot captured, though this development has yet to be officially confirmed.
