The Sholam Hospital, established in Birmal tehsil of South Waziristan with the assistance of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is actively pursuing public service in the health sector.
The hospital offers various medical and surgical facilities apart from OPD and emergencies. Operations for gynaecological diseases, treatment facility for hepatitis and kidney diseases and a modern laboratory are also offered at the hospital.
In 2023, the performance of the hospital was significantly affected due to financial difficulties. However, the availability of funds was made possible due to the efforts of Frontier Corps KP (South).
Solar power was also repaired, and power connections were activated in the hospital.
The IG FC (South) appreciated the efforts of the staff by visiting the hospital and reviewing its operations. Sholam Hospital’s administrator thanked Pakistan Army and FC KP South for providing them with modern health facilities.
