Eight children on Thursday succumbed to pneumonia in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
According to the Punjab health department, 191 cases were reported in Lahore. In January, 3,342 cases were reported in Lahore.
Three children died from pneumonia in Bahawalpur. Two children lost their lives in Rawalpindi.
Moreover, pneumonia claimed the lives of one child each in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Sheikhupura.
In Punjab, 296 children succumbed to pneumonia last month.
The medical experts had urged the parents to protect their children from cold weather and stressed the need for vaccination to fight pneumonia.
