Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal dethroned England’s Sophie Ecclestone to claim the top spot in the latest ICC Women’s T20 Player Rankings.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the updated ICC Women’s T20 Player Rankings, with Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal making headlines by securing the No. 1 position in the bowling rankings. Saadia achieved this milestone after climbing one spot, replacing England’s Sophie Ecclestone
Following Sadia, India’s Deepti Sharma sits in the second position, while Australia’s Annabel Sutherland claims the third spot. Saadia’s rise is an important milestone for Pakistan’s women’s cricket team.
Despite Sadia’s success in bowling, no Pakistani batter has made it into the ICC Women’s T20 batting top ten rankings. Australia’s Beth Mooney continues to hold on to the number one position in the batting rankings.
In the all-rounders category, West Indies’ Hayley Matthews remains in first place, maintaining her consistent form. Pakistan’s Nida Dar, however, has secured the seventh position among the world’s best all-rounders, showcasing her all-around abilities on the international stage.
