The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has condemned recent Indian attacks on Pakistan and issued a strong rebuke of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
In an official statement, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad accused the Modi administration of fuelling anti-Muslim sentiment and fostering extremism. He stated that India had deliberately targeted civilians and mosques during the strikes, actions he said reflect the ideology of Hindutva embraced by the ruling party.
Awad further asserted that the Modi government has become indifferent to the widespread rise in anti-Muslim sentiment across the country.
