Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari lamented on Tuesday the myriad of health problems facing the country.
Speaking at the convocation of Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Karachi, Bhutto-Zardari said: "Sindh has always been a land of knowledge, tolerance, and steadfastness. From the civilisation of the Indus Valley to modern Karachi, this soil has produced thinkers, healers, and reformers."
He added that Pakistan continues to face serious challenges in the health sector, including maternal and child mortality, malnutrition, and diseases caused by climate change. "These challenges cannot be overcome by slogans alone; they require the application of skill, ethics, and a spirit of service in times of need," the former foreign minister maintained.
