Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has dismissed recent reports suggesting that Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori is set to be replaced by Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Bashir Memon.
The speculation had been circulating in various media outlets over the past few days.
Speaking to a private channel, Senator Dar clarified that Kamran Tessori - affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement- Pakistan (MQM-P) - remains in his position as Governor of Sindh.
He categorically denied the rumours, stating, "There is no truth in the news of Bashir Memon being appointed as the Governor of Sindh."
Earlier, In response to the circulating rumours, MQM- P chief Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also weighed in calling the reports baseless.
"No such consultation has taken place regarding the governorship, so there is no truth in these reports," Siddiqui asserted.
