The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reacted to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to skip their match against India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
An ICC spokesperson stated that selectively choosing matches to play is not acceptable, emphasizing that equal participation of all teams is essential in a global tournament.
The statement added that while the ICC respects the government’s position, the decision is not in the interest of cricket. It warned that the move would disappoint cricket fans in Pakistan as well as supporters around the world.
