The security forces have foiled a series of attacks carried out by Fitna-e-Hindustan in several cities of Balochistan, killing 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers.
During operations conducted over the past two days, the total number of terrorists killed has reached 133. Fifteen security personnel and 18 civilians were martyred in the attacks. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists carried out cowardly attacks in Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni. Security forces and law-enforcement agencies responded in a timely and effective manner and thwarted the assaults.
Search and sanitisation operations remain under way in the affected areas, and all attackers, planners, facilitators and abettors will be brought to justice.
The ISPR said that on January 30, security forces had earlier killed 41 terrorists linked to Fitna-e-Hindustan and Fitna-e-Khawarij in Panjgur and Harnai. With the latest successful operations, the overall number of terrorists killed during ongoing operations in Balochistan has risen to 133. Intelligence reports have clearly confirmed that the attacks were directed by terrorist ringleaders based outside Pakistan, who remained in direct contact with the attackers during the incidents.
Sanitisation operations will continue in view of the possible presence of Indian-sponsored terrorists in the region. Security forces will maintain operations until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.
On January 31, 2026, the Indian-backed terrorist group Fitna-e-Hindustan attempted to sabotage peace and stability in Balochistan. The terrorists carried out multiple attacks in Quetta, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni.
These cowardly acts, carried out on the instructions of foreign handlers, aimed to disrupt daily life and undermine development in the province. During the attacks, innocent civilians were targeted in Gwadar and Kharan, where 18 unarmed civilians, including women, children, elderly people and labourers, were martyred.
Security forces and law-enforcement agencies responded swiftly and decisively, foiling the terrorists’ intentions. Fully alert forces demonstrated professional skill and exceptional courage while conducting prolonged and intense clearance operations across Balochistan. As a result, 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers, were killed and the safety of the local population was ensured.
However, during clearance operations and heavy exchanges of fire, 15 brave sons of the soil embraced martyrdom and made the ultimate sacrifice.
Sanitisation operations will continue to eliminate any Indian-sponsored terrorists present in the area. In line with the vision of the “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign launched under the National Action Plan with the approval of the Federal Apex Committee, Pakistan’s security forces and law-enforcement agencies will continue uninterrupted operations until foreign-backed terrorism is completely eradicated.
Interior minister and Balochistan chief minister's press conference
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, addressing a joint press conference after a high-level meeting in Quetta, said all terrorists involved in attacks at 12 locations across Balochistan had been killed, and that India was involved in the operation.
The interior minister said the terrorists had carried out planned attacks which were foiled, adding that the operation had been completed and all terrorists present were traced and neutralised. He said the police, Frontier Corps and army confronted the terrorists and demonstrated exemplary resolve.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said the operation had been completed, though final details were still awaited. He strongly condemned the killing of Baloch civilians in a labour colony in Gwadar, stating that no one involved would be spared and all perpetrators would be pursued and dealt with.
Gwadar attack claims 11 labourers
Security sources reported a heinous attack on poor Baloch labour families in Gwadar, where 11 innocent civilians were martyred. The figure had earlier been reported as five, but was later confirmed at eleven.
The victims include five men, three women, and three children, all residents of Balochistan who had traveled to Gwadar for hard labor.
Officials said all terrorists involved in the Gwadar attack have been neutralized. There is intense anger among residents of Gwadar over the killing of labourers, with communities demanding decisive action against militants.
Security forces have expanded operations to surrounding areas to eliminate any remaining threats.
Operations will continue until all militant hideouts are cleared, officials added. Officials stressed that the sacrifices prevented far greater loss of life.
Sources alleged that Indian media and segments of Indian social media openly supported Fitnaul Hindustan during the terrorist operations. They said this once again exposed what they described as a nexus between Indian platforms and militant groups targeting Pakistan.
PM praises forces, vows to eliminate terrorism
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the successful operations and praised the armed forces for killing the terrorists. He saluted the ten martyrs, offered prayers for their elevated ranks, and expressed condolences to their families.
“The entire nation, including me, is proud of our martyrs,” the prime minister said, adding that Pakistan will continue the war until terrorism is completely eliminated. He reaffirmed that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces.
Aleem Khan and Naqvi hail bravery
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan praised the security forces, calling the fallen personnel “brave sons” who sacrificed their lives to protect the homeland. He said operations in Balochistan will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attacks and lauded the forces for timely action, saying 37 terrorists were killed in one of the key engagements. He saluted the martyrs, calling them heroes of the nation whose sacrifices will always be remembered.
Security officials said forces remain fully engaged across Balochistan, with intelligence-based operations ongoing to prevent further attacks. They reiterated that Pakistan’s army and institutions will spare no effort to protect the country and its people.
