The price of gold in the global and local markets saw the second biggest drop on Saturday, as the yellow metal saw another massive decrease in price for the second consecutive day.
Moreover, the silver price per tola in Pakistan also saw the largest drop in a single day.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by a massive Rs25,500, bringing the new rate to Rs511,862, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs21,862, settling at Rs438,839. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs20,041 to be sold for Rs402,283.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by a huge $255, reaching $4,895 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by a massive Rs2,063 to Rs9,006, while 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs1,768 to be sold for Rs7,721.
The price of gold per tola in Pakistan has come down by Rs61,000 in just two days, while in the international market, its price has fallen by $610 in as many days.
Gold markets have been shaken by a sudden global decline, causing a loss of billions of dollars.
