Pakistan Under-19 won the toss and chose to field first against India Under-19 in their ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup match at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
India Under-19 reached 75 for three in 15 overs, scoring at a run rate of 5.00. The last five overs produced 26 runs without loss.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made 30 from 22 balls, striking five fours and one six, before he was caught by wicketkeeper Hamza Zahoor off Mohammad Sayyam. Aaron George scored 16 from 25 deliveries and was bowled by Abdul Subhan. Captain Ayush Mhatre was dismissed without scoring, also caught behind off Sayyam.
Vedant Trivedi remained unbeaten on 15 from 25 balls, including one six, while Vihaan Malhotra was not out on eight. Extras contributed six runs.
Pakistan’s bowlers kept control after the powerplay. Mohammad Sayyam took two wickets for 32 runs in six overs. Abdul Subhan returned figures of one for seven from four overs, including a maiden. Ali Raza conceded 36 runs in his five overs.
India lost all three wickets at 47, with the dismissals occurring between the 7.4 and 8.1 overs. Six Indian batsmen were yet to bat at the time of reporting.
