Lt. Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed has been sentenced to 14 years in prison following a 15-month-long field general court martial trial, the military's media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the trial against Faiz Hameed commenced on August 12, 2024, under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act. The proceedings spanned 15 months, meticulously reviewing evidence and testimonies related to four serious charges.
The charges against the former military chief included:

Causing wrongful loss to individuals
After thorough legal scrutiny, the Field General Court Martial found Faiz Hameed guilty on all charges, issuing a 14-year rigorous imprisonment sentence, which was promulgated on December 11, 2025.

The court martial followed all legal provisions, ensuring transparency and adherence to established military protocols. The accused was provided full legal rights, including representation by a defense team of his choice. The convict retains the right to appeal at the relevant judicial forum.
