The party’s Facebook page has also announced victory in the second constituency. No official result has been issued yet. Under Bangladesh’s election rules, candidates may contest more than one constituency.

If a candidate wins multiple seats, they must choose only one and vacate the others. A by-election will be held for any seat that is vacated. It is pertinent to note that counting began on Thursday in Bangladesh’s pivotal national election, after tens of millions of people voted for a new government.
The vote followed the ouster of Sheikh Hasina in a tumultuous uprising led by Generation Z.
