President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their resolve to improve working relations between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to details surfaced on Thursday, the prime minister called on the president in Islamabad. The two leaders exchanged views on the country’s political and economic situation.
They also discussed the prevailing security situation and other important matters.
PM Shehbaz has consulted President Asif Ali Zardari regarding his participation in the forthcoming ‘Board of Peace’ meeting on Gaza.
Sources said the meeting agreed that the matter of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) president would be settled through consensus.
