The repatriation of illegally residing foreign nationals and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders is continuing at a rapid pace following the expiration of the government’s deadline for voluntary departure.
On April 19 alone, 4,130 undocumented Afghan nationals were repatriated to Afghanistan. With this, the total number of repatriated individuals has reached 976,099 since the start of the process.
Authorities have intensified strict legal action against individuals residing in Pakistan without legal documentation, including foreign nationals and Afghan Citizen Card holders.
The Government of Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the dignified and humane repatriation of all individuals involved. It has also emphasized that no mistreatment will be tolerated during the implementation of the repatriation process.
To facilitate a smooth return, the government has made arrangements to provide adequate food, healthcare, and other basic necessities to those returning to their countries.
The ongoing efforts reflect Pakistan’s resolve to enforce immigration laws while upholding human dignity and humanitarian considerations.
