Lahore City Traffic Police have announced that they will not file first information report (FIR) against citizens holding valid learner, expired, or international driving licences.
The announcement comes amid an ongoing crackdown against drivers without licences in the metropolitan city.
According to the police, over 2,600 cases have been reported against the violators of this regulation.
“30 licence offices, ten mobile vans, and all Khidmat Centres are working around the clock, and citizens should make sure that they get their licences,” the police said in a statement.
The police told the media that earlier, the average of applications was 1,500 per day, but after this crackdown, the number reached 5,000 daily.
Further, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Mustansar Feroze, announced on X that a case will not be registered against citizens holding valid learner, expired or people holding driving licences from other countries.

It means you may face a fine but not an FIR if you have any of the above types of permits.
Earlier, the traffic police shared the list of Khidmat Centres across Lahore, working to facilitate the citizens:
- PKM Liberty
- Garden Town
- Wapda Town
- DHA
- Bahria
- Greater Iqbal Park
- Manawan
- Moon Market Iqbal Town
The citizens can visit these centres any day or any time of the week and apply for a driving licence to avoid FIR or fines during the ongoing crackdown.
