Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said on Sunday that the Pakistan Army has crushed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a so-called ‘Akhand Bharat’.
Speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony held in Shahdara, Lahore, Bokhari said that India was eager to target Lahore, but Pakistan’s fighter jets responded effectively. “Our Shaheens flew, and delivered breakfast and dinner to them,” she remarked, alluding to the Pakistan Air Force's response.
Expressing gratitude, Bokhari said, “We are immensely thankful to Allah for granting success to the state of Pakistan and its nation.”
On behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, she extended congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet. She also congratulated Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir, the air chief, and the naval chief for their roles.
Commenting on the Indian media’s reaction, she said, “The Indian media was fuming with rage.”
